Shift: 1st shift from 5:30am-3:30pm or the 2nd shift from 3:30pm-1:30am
Responsibilities
-
Assemble power distribution equipment by installing components, units, and subassemblies according to job specifications.
-
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
-
Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components/parts to correct defects.
-
Set up and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
-
Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
-
Install components by reading and interpreting material lists and panel layouts.
-
Disassemble finished products, prepare them for shipping, and assist in the shipping process.
-
Understand and execute company goals and objectives while actively contributing to team cohesiveness.
-
Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management.
Essential Skills
-
Mechanical assembly
-
Ability to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement
-
Blueprint reading and interpretation
-
Experience with hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, and drills
-
Mechanical repair skills
-
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers and fractions
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
1-2 years of previous mechanical assembly experience preferred
-
Capability of using/operating hand-held power tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks
-
Ability to write simple correspondence and complete routine reports
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
