Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position (40 hours per week) in our Therapies Department for an Occupational Therapist (OT).

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
  • The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients using a variety of techniques according to established standards of care.
  • This position is primarily focused on outpatient pediatric therapy.
  • Therapist will also be cross-trained to provide coverage in other areas such as inpatient care, adult outpatients, and home health.
  • Facilitates development and rehabilitation of patients with diverse mental, emotional, and physical needs by planning and administering occupational therapy.
  • Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities utilizing compensatory strategies and adaptive equipment education.
Requirements:
  • Certified Occupational Therapist (OT) by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or Certified Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) by the National Board in Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Current state of Iowa occupational therapist license.
  • CPR certification and Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certifications are required as an employee.
