Position Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician/ Equipment Technician for our client close to Parsippany, NJ. In this role, you'll perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs on advanced laboratory instrumentation while providing excellent technical support and customer service. Responsibilities

Technical Service:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs on laboratory instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot electronic circuits and boards using digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Provide customer support by phone and email; write clear technical documents and reports.
  • Train new service technicians on repair and calibration processes.
  • Travel to customer sites (as needed) for installations, repairs, and validation services.
Administrative Service:
  • Maintain accurate service call documentation in SAP/HubSpot and submit daily time reports in ADP.
  • Manage service kit and spare parts inventory; ensure tools remain calibrated.
  • Follow 5S standards to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or coursework in Electronics (Analog/Digital Circuits) preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in calibration, validation, or QC of laboratory instrumentation (preferred, but not required for the right candidate).
  • Proven technical background in electronics and ability to read wiring schematics.
  • Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Computer skills: MS Office; SAP/HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and professionally.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
Physical Demands:
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. individually or 80 lbs. with assistance.
  • Stand for 6+ hours per day.
Schedule & Pay
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Pay: $19.00-$21.00/hr (based on experience; overtime available)
