Alarm Service Technician

As a valuable member of our service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service on Securitas Technology products at client sites. This role involves direct client interaction for all post-installation issues related to systems and equipment, as well as participation in special projects when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to trouble tickets, ensuring application uptime and system performance.
- Collaborate with team members and work independently to diagnose and resolve application issues.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults.
- Implement routine configuration changes such as user permissions and application settings.
- Document all system modifications through a digital change control tracking system.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct pre-deployment testing for all upgrades and major modifications.
- Perform on-site installations of software upgrades and major modifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms.
- Fire alarm experience: Bosch, Silent Knight preferred; Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Siemens experience a plus; NICET certification or state fire license preferred.
- ESA Certified Alarm Technician certification preferred.
- NTS Certified Service Technician certification preferred.
- Knowledge of network communications and IP addressing.
- Certifications in enterprise-grade CCTV and Access Control are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding time management skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
