Position Summary:

The Senior Cloud Architect II role demands strong technical acumen and leadership abilities. This position oversees multi-cloud architecture, deployment methodologies, and IaaS/PaaS operations supporting a large scale, Fortune 100 enterprise. The Senior Cloud Architect II drives strategic initiatives that enhance the Cloud Services team’s technical maturity and operational excellence. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring key performance metrics—such as configuration baselines, cloud cost optimization, and platform enhancements—to inform decision making and ensure successful outcomes across cloud initiatives. The role provides leadership and mentorship focused on employee development, performance, and the delivery of reliable, scalable cloud solutions. The Senior Cloud Architect II contributes to backlog refinement for cloud enhancement projects, supports prioritization of the cloud roadmap, and collaborates with cross functional teams to evaluate new tools and integrations. They design forward-thinking strategies for future cloud initiatives aligned with organizational goals and available resources. Additionally, this role fosters a strong DevOps culture that emphasizes service quality, continuous operations, and automation, ensuring solutions adhere to internal standards and industry best practices.

Position Responsibilities:

• Setting up application hosting infrastructure requirements to make sure cloud resources are used efficiently and kept optimized.

• Configuration baselines and compliance adherence, ensuring cloud resources remain aligned with security and architectural standards.

• Cloud cost optimization performance, including budget tracking, consumption analysis, and cost avoidance strategies.

• Platform reliability and availability measurements, such as uptime, SLA compliance, and incident reduction rates.

• Operational efficiency indicators, including automation coverage, deployment frequency, and mean time to recovery (MTTR).

• Cloud platform enhancement metrics, evaluating feature adoption, architecture modernization progress, and roadmap execution.

• Build partnerships with cross functional team members, ensuring all parties’ roles are considered when developing and maintaining the Cloud environment.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

or equivalent industry experience

• 10+ years of experience in Information Technology
