Software Developer Section Supervisor

TheMontana Department of Transportationis recruiting for a Software Developer Section Supervisor. Responsible for supervising development staff that support applications based upon a variety of technologies, including Java web applications, Service Now applications, Jasper reporting tools, a cloud-based accounting platform that is .Net based, and RDBMS based upon Oracle and SQL Server as well as Snowflake data warehouse. This section relies upon Jira for day-to-day operations, and ISD has implemented the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This position reports to the Software & Data Systems Bureau Chief. Alternative combinations of related experience and education may be considered. Such as 8 years related experience and 2 years of supervision. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires knowledge of a programming language such as Java, Agile Development; or knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, or ESRI technology and GIS solutions; or database platforms such as Oracle or SQL Server database environments; or web development tools and solutions. Proficient in contract, vendor, and procurement management. Knowledge of industry best practices and innovative technologies.
