KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Accounting to join our CFO organization.
Responsibilities:
- Execute complex tasks related to maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to both onshore and offshore DASC teams, reviewing offshore work to ensure consistency and quality
- Exercise independent judgment in determining methods for completing work assignments, evaluating alternatives, and addressing issues within established procedures, with decisions subject to management review
- Prepare special collaboration with other departments to enhance and streamline processes and procedures, ensuring effective communication and integration across the organization
- Work with staff to update and communicate changes in policies and procedures, promoting organizational compliance and awareness
- Minimum three years of experience in accounting, with expertise in general ledger management, financial analysis, and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university required
- Proficiency in MS applications with preferred exposure to SAP General Ledger Module
- Advanced knowledge of accounting operations and procedures, including proficiency in Balance Sheet Analysis, Fixed Assets, Expatriate, and Relocation accounting
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to effectively guide staff on accounting processes and procedures, including the adoption and integration of AI technologies
- Occasional travel may be required
