TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701 About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: Full-time Shift: 12-hour days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 5 years in a Level 1 Trauma Facility preferred License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with Alaris pumps preferred Description: Position is for an emergency room registered nurse. The unit caters to both adult and pediatric patients. The emergency room includes a fast track area for less acute patients. On average, the unit sees approximately 140 patient visits per day. There are 25 monitored beds, 6 fast treatment beds, 6 fast treatment chairs, 2 trauma bays, and a dedicated stroke room. There is a behavioral lock down area that is staffed by psychiatric professionals. The emergency room operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Nurses manage their own lab draws and start their own IVs. There is 24/7 respiratory therapy coverage dedicated to the emergency room. The pharmacy is on campus 24/7 for immediate support. Common diagnoses range from trauma cases to various medical emergencies. The facility is a designated center for stroke care and deals with both neuro and orthopedic trauma. The unit has a dedicated triage nurse, and experience with ESI triage is preferred.
