SUMMARYThe Sales & Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing key components of the sales and marketing strategy for the global business segment. This role oversees initiatives related to new product development, portfolio management, profit improvement, lead generation, and sales enablement. It also involves leading cross-functional projects that support internal process improvement and strategic growth. The position requires close collaboration with multiple departments to implement effective business solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops holistic channel strategy under the supervision of the global channel leader and with the support of the global sales account owners
  • Provides key support to global sales account owners in the execution of sales strategies by market & customer; responsible for managing sales support projects with well-defined outcomes & within approved budget
  • Serves as a project manager for global development projects; this includes collaborating with sales account owners to build robust opportunities in Salesforce accounting for volume & business income requirements, facilitating the global screen team process, and coordinating item set up & regulatory update projects
  • Build relationships and collaborates with industry partners to secure advocacy for growth initiatives; this includes writing grant proposals to support key growth projects
  • Leads pricing and margin strategy for the segment; this includes regular maintenance of branded price lists, Foreign Currency Exchange (Fx) programs, and Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) rules
  • Evaluates value chain through delivery to global customers to ensure it aligns with channel strategy & meets business income requirements
  • Leads new product strategy, establishes innovation priorities, and new product launch plans for key markets
  • Leads product management in the segment and works cross-functionally to build and execute a strong profit improvement pipeline
  • Provides input into the tri-annual S&OP process that reflects our market position, internal capacity, and future growth; responsible to ensure P&Ls accurately reflect trade spend allocations by customer/item
  • Responsible for setting clear brand standards that are understood & shared appropriately with global customers & partners, in alignment with brand owner
  • Regularly travels in-market to visit customers and importing partners in support of our mutual growth initiatives.
  • Provides regular reporting on key metrics and global macro environment as needed to the global channel leader & leadership team
  • Leads other cross functional global projects as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing, product management or sales operations experience including strategy development, new product launches and cross functional leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preferred emphasis in business administration, marketing and/or international studies
  • Fluency in Spanish, German, or French desirable

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

WORK LOCATION

This is a hybrid or remote position requiring quarterly visits (minimum) to the Pleasant View office in Plymouth, WI.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Domestic and global travel is required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10 – 20%).
