The successful candidate will be offered an academic appointment as affiliated faculty in the University of Connecticut Department of Neurosurgery, with rank commensurate with experience. Our current team consists of three fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeons supported by three advanced practice providers, who deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. Our state-of-the-art facility includes a Level 1 pediatric trauma center, a Level 4 epilepsy program, a Level 4 NICU and fetal surgery program (both housed in the new hospital tower opening in December 2025), and a hybrid operating room.
Practice description: Connecticut Children's Specialty Group (CCSG) is the physician-led, faculty practice organization of Connecticut Children's, comprising more than 300 pediatric specialists across over 30 subspecialties. Hospital description: Connecticut Children's is a pediatric healthcare system spanning Connecticut, Eastern New York and Western Massachusetts. Our flagship hospital - Connecticut Children's Golisano Medical Center - is a 205-bed not-for-profit facility. We are the only free-standing pediatric hospital in the state of Connecticut. Connecticut Children's serves as the primary pediatric teaching hospital for the UConn School of Medicine, has a teaching partnership with the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, and is the pediatric training site for the UConn Neurosurgery Residency Program.
