Position: House Manager

Location: Owings Mills, MD (Multiple Sites Across Baltimore County) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $21–$23 per hour Work Setting: In-Person | Residential Group Homes Coverage Areas: Owings Mills, Reisterstown, Randallstown, Towson, Baltimore City & County

Positive Pathways Inc. is seeking a dedicated House Manager to oversee daily operations of one or more residential group homes supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This leadership role ensures that our homes remain safe, compliant, person-centered, and staffed by a strong, reliable team.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Home Leadership & Oversight

Supervise, mentor and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

Ensure all shifts are staffed and provide coverage in emergencies

Maintain a clean, safe, and person-centered home environment

Monitor home routines, resident needs, and overall program quality

Client Care & Support

Oversee and assist residents with daily living activities, hygiene, meals, and mobility

Promote independence through skill-building, community engagement, and individualized plans

Manage behavioral supports and ensure staff follow all BSP, IP, and care protocols

Ensure proper administration and documentation of medications (CMT required)

Compliance & Documentation

Complete and review daily logs, incident reports, medical updates, and shift notes

Ensure DSPs complete documentation accurately and on time

Maintain compliance with DDA, COMAR regulations, agency policies, and licensing requirements

Conduct monthly audits of MARs, fire drills, emergency plans, and home safety checklists

Communication & Coordination

Serve as the primary contact between staff, families, nursing, operations, and leadership

Attend management meetings, trainings, and required leadership sessions

Communicate concerns, staffing needs, incidents, and client changes immediately to supervisors

Transportation & Community Integration

Safely transport individuals to activities, appointments, and community outings

Support residents in pursuing meaningful goals and life-enriching opportunities

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Required

1–2 years of experience in direct support, human services, mental health, or I/DD care

At least 1 year of leadership or shift supervision preferred

Age 21+ with valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Ability to manage staff, resolve conflicts, and maintain calm in high-pressure situations

Required Certifications (Must Be Current)

CPR & First Aid

MANDT Certification

Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

Bloodborne Pathogens

Sexual Abuse/Sexual Harassment Prevention

DDA Trainings (including online modules)

Location Requirement

Must be able to reliably commute to Owings Mills, MD and the surrounding Baltimore County coverage areas.
