Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Gastroenterology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care pediatric experience. Ambulatory clinic experience is strongly preferred but not required. License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Must-Have: Experience with Rapid Strep, Flu/COVID testing. EPIC experience is highly preferred. Skills in port access, central venous line draws, and general assessment. Description: The RN will work within the Pediatric Gastroenterology specialty. Responsibilities include patient care for a range of diagnoses including constipation, reflux, G-tube care, inflammatory bowel disease, and others. The pediatric population will primarily include newborns to age 18. The role may involve assisting with giving vaccines and injectable medications. The RN will collaborate with clinical leadership, support staff, and other health professionals. Technology and equipment used include EMR and Omnicell for medication management. There is no weekend rotation or on-call duty. Holiday expectations are that the facility will be closed on major holidays. Scheduling is Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The RN will work in a supportive environment with ongoing assistance from peer RNs and clinical leadership.
