Job Summary and Qualifications
- As the Department Manager, you will oversee planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services within the Emergency Department, supporting the hospital's mission and goals.
- Establish effective relationships with patients, physicians, staff, and vendors.
- Coordinate nursing care activities in compliance with established standards and policies, and communicate effectively.
- Develop policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality and operational efficiency, collaborating with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current RN License in Texas or compact license.
- AHA or ARC BLS provider; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
- TNCC required within 18 months; ENPC or CEN within 18 months.
EXPERIENCE:
- Five years of progressive management experience required, including:
- Staff management and supervisory roles.
- Budget preparation and financial oversight.
- Building physician relationships and resolving operational issues.
- Quality improvement expertise and multidisciplinary team coordination.
