Location
Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118.
Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.
Job Summary
Serves as accounting assistant to Director of Auxiliary Financial Management Resolves discrepancies, maintains documentation & responds to inquiries regarding invoice and payment status Processes ePro Requests & receives shipments of equipment and supplies Contacts vendors to obtain Quotes for the annual Blanket POs, to resolve problems with commissions, orders, invoices, and statements Assists in financial planning for large projects and systems upgrades Assists with mandatory student fee form and presenting to Student Fee Committee Generates weekly Dining participation report Supports the month-end and year-end closing process Tracks and forecasts Meal plan Sales and redemption rates. Analyses food usage and food waste trends in the dining halls, provides feedback to the Dining Asst Director and Director of Auxiliary Financial Management. Maintains documentation & complete monthly reconciliations for Dining, Vending, Director's Office budgets.
Responsibilities

2 - Budget responsibilities include assisting with the creation of 5- year departmental business plans Verifying departmental coding, payment authorization, appropriate use of state funds, and remittance information Matching vouchers, coordinating check printing process, and assisting with month-end reports and reconciliations Scanning and indexing documents into imaging system for electronic file storage.
3- Blackboard reporting which will include: preparing and coordinating the data entry and analysis of financial / statistical data; maintaining financial databases and develops Ad Hoc reports; creates monthly reports to reconcile for deposits (Food Service) Communicates with vendors and departments regarding invoices, past due invoices, and check request documentation Provides investigation of problems related to purchase orders and invoices for resolution to expedite payment and clear outstanding purchase order variances.
4 - The position will make recommendations on decisions The potential consequences of errors include affecting the departments' ability to accurately budget their spending Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Two years experience in a progressively responsible position including financial analysis. Strong computer skills in use of typical office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and complex databases). Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively listen and resolve simple issues effectively with sound business sense and judgment. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and direction, and yet able to work collaboratively with others as a team player to complete job assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Working knowledge of Point-of-Sale system, working knowledge of CBord, 3 years of experience in college or university financial administration.
Proposed Salary
$50,540 annually.

Advanced Excel skills, including advanced formulas and graphs. Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 15lbs Office Environment - Work normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
