Kforce's client, a well-proven publicly-held company with a 30-year history of growth, has a need for a Senior Financial Accountant in Newton, MA. This company offers strong growth potential and a chance to work in a highly collaborative environment.Summary:Our client is in search of a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our Portfolio Reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and general ledger functions for a multitude of entities. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This is a high-impact role with built in growth potential.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, analyze, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-based financial reports and supporting workpapers
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; Prepare and review journal entries
  • Support the preparation of SEC filings and related public disclosures
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual procedures
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with debt covenants and other financial reporting requirements
  • Maintain and update cash forecasts; Monitor liquidity and funding needs
  • Calculate and facilitate the payment of business management fees
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, and Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Review and code corporate payables for assigned entities
  • Lead or participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by senior management
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with multi entities, or public accounting
  • Proficiency with property management/accounting software
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Experience with SEC reporting tools (e.g., Workiva) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
