Your Role:

As a field technician, you will confidently address a variety of technical needs for residential and small business clients. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting PCs and Macs, resolving network issues, and managing printer and scanner setups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS systems
  • Resolve boot errors, operating system issues, and login problems
  • Set up and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and wired internet connections
  • Replace or upgrade computer hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.)
  • Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.)
  • Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity)
  • Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs)
  • Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media
  • Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested
  • Clearly communicate with customers and provide basic post-service support
  • Document service visits and escalate complex issues as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of field IT support experience, with a strong background in computer and printer repair
  • Familiarity with Canon, HP, and other popular printer brands
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting error codes (e.g., Canon code 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts)
  • Experience with Windows (10/11) and macOS troubleshooting
  • Must have personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.)
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Smartphone with camera and data for documentation and communication
  • Proven ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor
