Your role as a Admissions CoordinatorAs a Full-Time Admissions Coordinator at Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, you will play a vital role in managing patient intake processes. Your responsibilities will include conducting intakes and completing inquiry forms, ensuring that packets are thoroughly reviewed for criteria, and updating intake logs accordingly. You will collect data essential for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) related to intakes, while efficiently communicating with physicians and the Director of Nursing regarding potential admissions. Additionally, you will initiate demographic information on face sheets, manage episodes of care, and gather insurance details for new admits, meticulously assembling patient charts.
Completing insurance verifications for patients accepted by the physician will also be an integral part of your daily operations, allowing you to contribute significantly to the hospital’s mission of delivering high-quality home health care.
Are you the Admissions Coordinator we're looking for?To excel as a Full-Time Admissions Coordinator at Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, you will need a blend of organizational and communication skills tailored for the health care environment. A minimum of two to three years of experience in admissions for psychiatric patients is preferred, as it provides a strong foundation for understanding the nuances of the intake process. Proficiency in relevant software tools is essential for managing data effectively. A keen attention to detail will be critical when reviewing packets for criteria, updating intake logs, and initiating demographic information for new patients.
Strong communication skills will facilitate collaboration with physicians and the Director of Nursing, ensuring a streamlined admission process. Additionally, your ability to maintain thorough documentation and conduct accurate insurance verifications will support the overall efficiency and quality of care, reflecting the hospital's commitment to excellence and safety.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:- At least two – three years of admissions for psychiatric patients experience preferred
