Sterling Design Support Services (SDS2), a unit of iQuasar LLC for one of their clients, is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer in Baltimore MD.

  • Position : Fire Protection Engineer
  • Location: Baltimore MD
  • Position Type: Onsite
Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare design documents employing a thorough knowledge of industry practices and office standards.
  • Incorporate a thorough understanding of the governing codes and standards affecting the work.
  • Provide quality control reviews of fire suppression, smoke control, and fire detection and communications systems and life safety designs.
  • Utilize CONTAM, Trane/Trace, Carrier/HAP, Microsoft Office products, CADD, BIM/Revit, and other industry software.
  • Conduct field surveys, conditions assessments, Life Safety Analyses, load analyses, analyses of fire hazards, and cost estimating take-offs.
  • Code consulting
  • Mentor staff and serve as a technical resource for design issues related to life safety features and fire protection systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure, Engineer-In-Training
  • LEED AP or equivalent. (Preferred)
  • Commissioning certification or experience. (Preferred)
