Summary:
Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician I Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients facing behavioral health challenges in various settings including inpatient, emergency department, or outpatient care. Your role will include vital responsibilities in milieu management and providing compassionate support to those in need.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the care team to foster a supportive and therapeutic atmosphere.
  • Constantly monitor and document patients' coping mechanisms and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Offer insights and recommendations to the clinical team to contribute to the development of the care plan and aid in its implementation for assigned clients. Communicate any changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the care team.
  • Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to effectively perform job functions.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgement while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is required; or satisfactory completion of a UCHealth-administered basic competency test. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in Behavioral Health is required.
