On the Aurora Data Solutions team, you will join a world-class group whose mission is generating insights and intelligence to improve the Aurora Driver and help accelerate our path towards safe and broad commercialization of Autonomous Vehicle technology. This Data Analyst role is a key opportunity to leverage vast amounts of data from both internal and external sources to monitor and analyze the performance of the Aurora Driver, directly supporting Aurora in achieving its developmental and commercialization goals.

In this role, you will
- Develop and present executive-level reports and dashboards with clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Develop and manage external-facing data reports for customers, partners, and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate data and insights in visually impactful and compelling ways to effectively communicate analysis, trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partner closely with those stakeholders to design and implement metrics and dashboards to help them measure, understand, and improve their teams and performance needs
- Be a key driver in translating data findings into business recommendations and measurable outcomes across the organization.
- Collaborate with a team of world-class Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers on Data Science & Analytics problems spanning our Developmental and Commercial areas.
- Collaborate with our Data Science & Analytics and Engineering communities to ensure the adoption of best practices and suggest improvements
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar technical role.
- Proven experience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end, from synthesizing business needs to building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency with relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and knowledge of Data Engineering best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including experience with data transformation tools like DBT and various visualization frameworks/tools.
- Competency in Python, demonstrated by the ability to write readable, maintainable, and easily interpretable code.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate and cascade executive input into actionable, data-driven technical analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced degree (MS) in Statistics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools
- Experience using data-modeling business intelligence tools such as Holistics, Looker, etc.
- Experience presenting your work to Executive teams & interfacing with Product teams
- Experience in the Autonomous Vehicles or other safety-critical systems industries
The base salary range for this position is $126K-$181K per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
