Job Description

Sr Backend Data Engineer - Generative AI & AWS
Location: Malvern, PA or Charlotte, NC (must be onsite day one)
Length: 1+ year (likely to be extended multiple years)

Build and optimize backend systems and APIs using Python, Node.js, or Java/SpringBoot, while ensuring scalable, high-performance architecture supported by CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.

Integrate and deploy Generative AI solutions (Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, etc.), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and embedding models into enterprise workflows.

Develop cloud-native services on AWS leveraging EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Glue, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudFormation to support AI-driven features.

Collaborate across engineering and data teams to deliver secure, compliant, well-documented AI capabilities aligned with privacy, security, and ethical AI standards.
