Position Summary
We are currently seeking a PRN Echo Sonographer for our Daytona Beach, FL location. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac echocardiography examinations while ensuring exceptional image quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac echocardiography exams with accuracy and professionalism
- Greet patients and explain procedures in a clear, compassionate manner
- Use independent judgment to adapt procedures and identify pathological findings
- Ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and manage supply inventory
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations (AED use, oxygen, etc.)
- Support occasional evening or Saturday shifts
- Float to Port Orange and Deltona locations as needed
- High school diploma required
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program
- Minimum of 1 year of cardiac echo sonography experience
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echo (AE) specialty required
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiography procedures
- Proficiency with ultrasound imaging equipment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Team-oriented, flexible, and dependable
- Medical office and imaging exam rooms
- Exposure to standard clinical hazards (e.g., needles, radiation)
- Fast-paced, patient-facing environment
