Location/Schedule: This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule. Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
The Talent Development Specialist supports and delivers programs that enhance leadership capability, retention, and employee engagement. You’ll collaborate with leaders, subject matter experts, and the Talent Development Manager to ensure consistent, value-based experiences across the organization.
- Support and implement leadership and talent development programs that enhance capability, retention, and readiness across all levels.
- Partner with the Talent Development Manager to drive succession planning and development programs.
- Administer engagement and recognition programs, analyze results, and recommend actions to strengthen culture and team member experience.
- Deliver training, tools, and resources to support leaders and ensure a consistent and engaging experience.
- Implement onboarding programs for new leaders and team members, ensuring a value-based experience across the organization.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver and sustain learning through a train-the-trainer model.
- Support the performance management and development process, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
- Assist with building career development frameworks, identifying competencies, and guiding career pathing discussions.
- 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, and/or Talent Development
- 2+ years’ project management experience
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative, value-add solutions aligned with business strategy
- Experience using adult learning principles, training design and delivery, and measuring training effectiveness
- Ability to coach and develop leaders at all levels, including executives
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Adult Education, or related field
- Talent Development, Learning & Development, or HR-related certifications
Pay Range: $80,000-$90,000 + DOE + Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Benefits Include:
