Position: Team Leader

Immediate Supervisor: Manager on Duty (MOD)

Status: Nonexempt

Position Summary: As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supervising team operations and ensuring that we deliver high-quality products and outstanding service to our guests.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead and supervise various operational duties including fountain & frozen, dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food prep, and drive-thru (if applicable) to maintain efficient operations.
  • Assist in orienting and training new employees to ensure they understand their roles.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Oversee regular cleaning and sanitation tasks, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, dishwashing, wiping down surfaces, sanitizing preparation areas, and caring for equipment as per operational guidelines.
  • Maintain regular attendance to ensure team functionality.

Additional Duties:

  • Lead engaging shift meetings to motivate the team.
  • Report any customer or employee concerns to the Manager on Duty.
  • Move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Take on other job-related tasks as assigned.

Time/Shift Expectations: Minimum of 30 hours per week; must be flexible with irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge/Skills:
  • General restaurant or retail knowledge.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong multitasking, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Work Environment: This role involves continuous standing, bending, reaching, and lifting in a dynamic restaurant setting. Expect frequent exposure to heat and hot cooking environments, as well as colder conditions when stocking from freezers, and occasional extreme temperatures due to varying weather conditions.
