Job Summary

Pharmacy Summer Camp Program Assistant
This position is for a 1 Week Camp June 3-7 Approximately 7 hours/day. Counselors must be available to work the full duration of the camp. Program Assistant Counselors will be responsible for assisting the camp director in the supervision of program participants to facilitate the delivery of the week's activities and to assure participant safety. Duties will include general supervision of camp participants, overseeing a designated group of participants and assisting with the provision of camp activities, which may include driving program vans to transport participants to off-campus sites. Additionally, Program Assistants are expected to provide general guidance, motivation, and support for camp participants.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality,
  • Ability to provide oversight and assistance to students, and
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally
  • Ability to understand the roles and responsibilities of a counselor in maintaining a healthy and safe environment during the program.
  • Ability to promote cooperation and identify and resolve conflicts with students.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be a currently enrolled College of Pharmacy Student
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with school-aged students
  • Experience as a tutor, camp counselor, or similar position


Salary
17.50/hr
