Job Description

Heavy Civil Estimator - Earthwork & Concrete Tilt-Wall

Salary: $130K - $170K + Full Benefits Location: [Insert Location or “Open” if remote/travel]

We’re hiring a Heavy Civil Estimator with strong expertise in earthwork and concrete tilt-wall construction to join a respected and growing civil construction firm. This is a critical role offering autonomy, competitive pay, and the chance to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil projects including earthwork, tilt-wall, asphalt, and heavy concrete
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs, subcontractor/vendor solicitation, scope reviews, and bid proposals
  • Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to develop competitive estimates
  • Support handoff to operations, assist with change orders, and track job costs post-award
  • Contribute to ongoing estimating strategy improvements and job reviews
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction with earthwork and concrete tilt-wall focus
  • Proficiency in B2W, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; Spectrum and XBE are a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience preferred
  • Understanding of OSHA and environmental compliance standards
