DescriptionDSA is seeking a highly qualified GIS Analyst with an active secret clearance to join our team at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.

Required Qualifications
  • Active secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Environmental, Geography, Geology, Geoscience, GIS, Mathematics, Planning, or a related physical or social science field is required. Four (4) years of job-related experience may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) is required.
  • Preferred advanced experience using ESRI Aeronautical Reconnaissance Coverage Geographic Information System (ArcGIS) 10 x Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related geospatial software tools.
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with GIS users.
Clearance Required

Secret, if possible

Desired Qualifications
  • Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) or Environmental Systems Research Incorporated (ESRI) certification
  • Experience working in a versioned GIS environment, creating and manipulating spatial data from a variety of sources, using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) technology in field data collection, and integrating GPS data within GIS.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, create, update, maintain, and verify the sensitive and proprietary GIS) data contained within the Navy SE Enterprise Spatial Database Engine (SDE).
  • Edit the Navy SE Enterprise SDE in coordination with the Installation Real Property Accountable Officer (RPAO) for the reconciliation of NAVFAC Real Property mismatched features, to meet Real Property Audit requirements
  • Update and maintain standard SE GRC map products which includes but is not limited to updating symbology layers, creating and maintaining map templates, performing quality control throughout the map production process, applying standard cartographic principles, and responding to stakeholder and customer feedback.
