Senior Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a senior transportation engineer experienced in traffic operations and safety who has a people-first mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to make a positive impact on our organization and our communities.

This role is about leading and supporting traffic operations and safety projects for freeway corridors, interchanges, intersections, local roadways, and citywide networks, while building client relationships that contribute to bringing work to the firm. Consistency, collaboration, and a keen focus on providing meaningful mentorship to others are all critical success factors.

• Hands?on project experience working on traffic and transit microsimulation, multimodal corridor studies, downtown circulation plans, transportation demand management plans, transportation impact studies, bicycle and pedestrian facility planning, and local/regional transportation plans
• Analyze field?collected data using spreadsheet and software models. Experience using tools such as, Synchro, HCS, SIDRA, FREEVAL, and VISSIM.
• Develop future traffic projections following agency?specific methodologies and procedures.
• Applied understanding of analysis techniques for the Highway Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual, and MUTCD
• Develop concepts and implement advanced traffic management strategies including Active Transportation and Demand Management (ATDM) and Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) strategies.
  

• Technical proficiency in traffic operations and safety.
• Provide technical direction to others for complex projects/tasks.
• Develop sound and informed scopes, budgets, and schedules for proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients/teaming partners/industry professionals.
• Deliver meaningful feedback and mentorship for career growth.
  

• 8?15 years of experience related to technical focus areas referenced above.
• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (or TE) in the state where you will primarily deliver work.
• Clear passion for transportation and experience as a consultant.

The range for this position is $112,000?145,000, which is a combination of your base salary plus an employer?funded 401K retirement contribution. Position in this range is determined by candidates experience and office location.
