LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Clerk to work for a great company in the Hauppauge, NY area.

Description:

Assisting the accounting department daily with data entry and light filing.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable with sales and vendor invoicing

• Support Accountant with monthly journal entry posting

• Applying the proper data to invoices using our custom computer system WBI in conjunction with QuickBooks.

• Entering in the approved information into our database in QuickBooks

• Scanning and entering approved invoices into our database

• Assist with other accounting projects as needed

• Filing, copying and scanning for office administrators

Employee Requirements:

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, related field, or equivalent experience

• Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Strong Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Ability to learn and take direction

• Ability to work independently and to work in a team environment

• Ability to work under pressure and meet accounting deadlines

$21-23 per hour.
