About the Role
The Registered Nurse in the Clinical Care Leader (CCL) role is vital in coordinating healthcare services for patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team. The CCL ensures clear and effective communication and understands the essential nature of teamwork in breaking down silos to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver individualized nursing care.
- Collaborates with other professionals, including physicians, to plan and evaluate comprehensive care.
- Provides patient assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions throughout all stages of preventative care and treatment.
- Leads and coordinates nursing activities on the unit while adhering to Sanford Health’s philosophy and care standards.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills in managing emergent situations and interventions necessary for safe patient care.
- Mentors staff and actively participates in unit activities, committees, and peer review processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience is required; two years is preferred.
- Must hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing and maintain the required competencies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of employment.
