What You Will Be Doing:

  • Work collaboratively with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain cutting-edge technical solutions.

  • Engage with a team of experts in machine learning, distributed systems, and full-stack development.

  • Leverage your expertise in programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python along with expertise in both relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data warehousing solutions including Redshift and Snowflake.

  • Stay updated on technological advancements, experiment with new tools, share insights within technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers.

  • Partner with product managers to build robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions seeking financial success.

  • Conduct rigorous unit testing and peer reviews to ensure high-quality code that is performant and maintainable.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • At least 3 years of application development experience (excluding internships).

  • At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in application development, including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.

  • 2+ years of experience with any public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

  • 3+ years working with distributed data/computing tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark).

  • 2+ years experience with real-time data and streaming applications.

  • 2+ years of experience implementing NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).

  • 2+ years of data warehousing experience with solutions like Redshift or Snowflake.

  • 3+ years of UNIX/Linux experience with proficiency in command line and shell scripting.

  • 2+ years of experience working with Agile engineering practices.

  • 1+ years of experience with Databricks.

  • 1+ years of experience with Lakehouse frameworks, including Iceberg or Delta Lake.

The salary range for this role is as follows: McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000 for Senior Data Engineer.

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including potential cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
