Job PurposeTo fulfill the daily task of ensuring all inbound freight is unloaded, properly inspected, verified, cataloged, and put away while helping to maintain a clean, safe and harmonious work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review packing slip(s) from inbound shipments, verifying that the parts and quantities received are correct according to the packing list.
- Physically opening cartons verifying the product, while inspecting for concealed damages.
- Accessing the Purchase Order information via a "hand-held" computer/scanning devise (data collector), in an effort to verify the goods received are exactly as ordered.
- Using the data collector to "receive" the goods into WMS.
- Receiving employees may be required to temporarily backfill in other areas.
Each "Receiving Clerk" will be required to:
- Work standing on their feet for 8 hours every day or more.
- Have the ability to lift no less than 60 pounds.
- Have the ability to read, identify, and comprehend alphanumeric part number schemes up to 30 characters long.
- Have the ability to clearly communicate.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Previous use of handheld data collector.
- WMS experience is a plus.
