With over 1,800 vessel and shore-based employees, Marquette is the largest provider of independent towing services within the inland waterways. We are the only fully integrated fleet in the industry that can do what we do.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Conduct supply chain analysis across Paducah, New Orleans, and Houston locations.
  • Collaborate with various teams to analyze and document supply chain processes and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in on-site logistics and warehousing activities, including River and Gulf-Inland logistics, fuel procurement, purchasing, and various warehouse operations.
  • Document supply chain processes and best practices across the different locations.
  • Visit key vendors and assist in process reviews.
  • Participate in vessel visits to gain hands-on experience with inventory audits and order/receiving process reviews.
  • Complete a capstone project summarizing your internship accomplishments and present it to company leadership and appropriate manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.50.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight between Paducah, New Orleans, and Houston offices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with a basic understanding of PowerBI.
