MCA, a New Charter Technologies company, is seeking an IT Depot Technician (in other companies this person could hold the title of IT Support Technician, Hardware Repair Specialist, or Imaging Specialist), who will play a critical role in maintaining and configuring IT hardware and software systems to meet customer needs. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing laptops, PCs, tablets, and network devices. You will also maintain depot servers, manage imaging processes, and ensure timely deployment of equipment.

To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with IT hardware, software imaging, and a strong sense of service quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot Laptops and PCs per call notes
  • Order parts for warranty repairs
  • Repair Laptops and PCs
  • Clean, test, and image walk-in laptops and PCs
  • Configure new devices using MDT and other required software
  • Configure network switches, servers, tablets, iPads and other mobile devices
  • Prepare devices for same-day service shipping
  • Maintain depot MDT server
  • Repair mobile computers, barcode scanners, printers, and lift-truck terminals
  • Configure devices per customer specs
  • Maintain all related documentation
  • Handle backup tapes per customer instructions
  • Assist with inventory and part orders
  • Submit units for warranty and non-warranty repair (RMA)
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years' experience in a hardware and imaging role
  • Knowledge of electronic hardware and cabling
  • Effective troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Experience with PCs, printers, servers, routers, switches
  • Familiarity with imaging software
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred
Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily knowledge-worker oriented using computer systems. Occasional exertion and lifting of up to 20 pounds. Occasional crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Constant computer and phone use. Some travel required. Occasional outdoor exposure due to travel.

Compensation:

The compensation is expected to start at $35,000. Our offer will be determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
