Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems & Exchange Administrator to lead and maintain our enterprise Windows infrastructure, Microsoft Exchange environment (hybrid/on-prem), and Office 365 (M365) services. This role is essential to ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance operations across our core IT systems.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven, hands-on senior professional with deep experience in Windows Server, Exchange Server (on-prem and online), Azure AD, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including security, compliance, and collaboration services.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows Systems Administration:
- Manage and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
- Ensure system security and compliance with internal and industry standards (e.g., patching, vulnerability remediation).
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Administer virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Administer and support Exchange Server (2016/2019) and/or hybrid Exchange Online environments.
- Manage mail flow, connectors, retention policies, public folders, and transport rules.
- Troubleshoot mail delivery issues and manage anti-spam/anti-malware solutions.
- Perform migrations and upgrades (e.g., Exchange to Exchange Online, mailbox moves).
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD.
- Administer M365 security & compliance tools (DLP, M365 Defender, Conditional Access, MFA).
- Manage user provisioning, license assignments, and access controls via Azure AD/Entra.
- Drive automation using PowerShell to streamline admin tasks and reporting.
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in a Windows systems admin role.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration.
- Deep knowledge of Exchange Server (on-prem and online).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
- Scripting proficiency (PowerShell is a must).
- Experience supporting hybrid environments.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Microsoft certifications (a plus) such as:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
