Occupational Health Nurse III (PRN - 2nd Shift) PT

Location: Lafayette, IN
Shift: PRN, 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), minimum 1 shift/week to cover vacations
Pay: $55-$58
About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse III (OHN III) to join our Corporate Medical Department. This advanced nurse generalist will manage daily clinic operations and deliver best-in-class occupational health services. The role requires autonomy, strong clinical judgment, and leadership skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for employee illness and injury
  • Operate independently in clinical and administrative tasks
  • Lead or assist in on-site emergency medical response
  • Serve as liaison with contracted occupational health providers
  • Manage clinic administration, including orientation sessions and HR data systems (PeopleSoft)
  • Support facility leadership and HR in health, safety, and wellness initiatives
  • Conduct DOT drug testing, fit-for-duty evaluations, OSHA surveillance exams
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in occupational health practices
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Licensed Registered Nurse
    • Strong clinical skills, judgment, and leadership capacity
    • Ability to work autonomously and maintain confidentiality
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
    • 3-5 years of experience in occupational medicine or acute care
    • Certifications in occupational health or related fields
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Ability to learn and manage online databases (e.g., PeopleSoft)
