We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Float Pool team. This role is pivotal in creating a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. Your contributions will be recognized as vital to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document care according to company policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescriptions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques with the ability to apply these in support of patient care quality improvement initiatives.
