HiFyve is hiring a Laser Technician in the Manufacturing industry in Lees Summit, Missouri

Salary: $21-36/hr

Shift: Days 8 am-4:30 pm (flexible shift)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize 2D / 3D CAD systems for programming of laser systems (training available if comprehension is validated)
  • Setup and operate 5-axis laser systems for marking, engraving, and texturing
  • Read job instructions and prints for laser engraving requirements
  • Process first article parts, inspect parts to print requirements, and document results
  • Perform work with exceptional accuracy and consistency to ensure quality customer parts
  • Maintain high attention to detail for laser engraving data, information, and part location
  • Perform daily and weekly maintenance on equipment
  • Work collaboratively within a team and support multiple areas of production as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong math skills, particularly in geometry
  • Mechanical aptitude in precision measuring, alignment, and part placement
  • Ability to utilize common measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.)
  • Understanding of material properties, selection, and process suitability
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to multitask and work on tasks across multiple areas of production
  • Physical ability to lift 35-50 lbs
  • Prior experience not required, but helpful: CNC machining, manual milling/turning, 2D/3D CAD drafting, or previous laser operation experience
