Position Summary:
- Evaluate the financial status of individuals and businesses seeking credit from Partners Bank.
- Support the appraisal and evaluation process associated with commercial loans.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience (2-5 years of relevant coursework and commercial credit analysis).
- Strong financial analytical skills and experience with credit assessment systems (2-5 years preferred).
- Ability to independently gather and analyze data to make informed recommendations on commercial credit relationships.
- Capability to handle multiple analytical tasks with consistent quality and attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong typing abilities.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze loan data for new, renewal, and existing loans from credit bureaus and other institutions.
- Conduct independent assessments of various commercial loan requests in a timely manner.
- Review and analyze loan requests of varying complexity based on specific experience.
- Know and apply the bank's commercial loan policy, recognizing any deviations.
- Understand alternative methods for mitigating credit risk.
- Create comprehensive written analyses for each credit request, including a background summary, management analysis, financial evaluations, cash flow assessments, collateral review, and risk appraisal.
- Handle more complex loan requests, which may involve intricate organizational structures or unique industries.
- Work autonomously with limited supervision, exercising un-reviewed credit decision-making as necessary.
- Regularly establish, review, and update loan files for the bank.
- Provide expertise and assistance on projects within the Commercial Loan/Commercial Credit Department.
- Coordinate with appraisers and evaluators for commercial loans.
- Ensure compliance of appraisals with USPAP and related regulations.
- Assist with the monitoring and reporting of loan loss reserves and credit concentration.
