Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Somerset, KY. This high-performing regional medical center provides full emergency and trauma support in a modern facility, offering a fast-paced, collaborative environment for experienced EM physicians.
Opportunity Specifics
- Contract Type: Locum Tenens (Physician)
- Setting: Emergency Department - Level III Trauma Center
- Start Date: November 30, 2025
- Duration: 2-6 Months (Short-Term Contract)
- Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts
- Day: 7a-7p
- Mid: 11a-11p
- Night: 7p-7a
- Shift Load: ~15 shifts/month
- Staffing Model: 36 MDs / 46 APPs
- Supervision: APP oversight required
- Annual ED Volume: ~43,500
- Hospital Beds: 295
- ED Beds: 22
- Trauma Level: III
- Patient Volume: 1.8 pts/hr
- EMR System: Meditech
- Codes: Responded to by the Hospital Medicine team
- Specialty Support: Full hospital-based service lines
- Privileges: Temporary privileges available (~45 days for processing)
- Board Certification: ABEM / AOBEM / ABFM / ABIM accepted
- Experience: Minimum 3 years Emergency Medicine experience required
- Licensure: Active Kentucky medical license
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS (required)
- DEA: Active and unrestricted
- Professionalism: Must be comfortable supervising APCs
