Dishwasher/Steward

As a Dishwasher/Steward, you will ensure the cleanliness and organization of all kitchenware, equipment, and work areas. You’ll support the culinary crew by maintaining sanitation standards and assisting with basic kitchen tasks as needed. This role is essential to smooth kitchen operations and requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be the dish pit hero of our hotel's kitchen, ensuring a clean and organized workspace that enables our culinary crew to shine.
  • Your daily tasks will include washing dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with basic food preparation as needed.
  • You will report to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.
  • A career as a dishwasher/steward can lead to opportunities in various roles within the hospitality industry, such as line cook, prep cook, or even kitchen management positions.
Education & Experience

Hotel experience is always a plus Applicants should have: 

  • A combination of education and experience

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Sufficient education and/or literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with fans about job-related needs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required—with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • A warm, professional demeanor that reflects HVMG’s Culture of Excellence by showing a warm smile, friendly personality, and positive attitude.
