Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an Assistant Cybersecurity Manager to enhance the DISA GSM-O II TN09 Network Assurance (NA) Program. This program provides vital network operations and cyber defense support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), the Department of Defense (DoD), and Combatant Commands. In this pivotal role, you will act as the Deputy for the DISA Global Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), managing Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP), Boundary Defense, and other significant DCO activities. You will lead a dedicated team of 175 analysts focused on cyber threat intelligence analysis, security event detection and response, and network traffic analysis, while fostering innovative solutions in daily operations. This role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring some on-site presence at Scott AFB.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Leadership:

• Oversee daily mission requirements across multiple sites.
• Provide guidance to personnel located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Employee Engagement:

• Promote a positive organizational culture and prioritize employee well-being.
• Manage the DISA Global Net Assurance staff, including engagement, training, and performance evaluations.

Mission Support:

• Serve as the DISA Global DCO Lead in their absence.
• Engage in DISA DCO working groups with DISA and DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) organizations.

Technical Leadership:

• Guide teams responsible for:
  • Analyzing alerts from network sensors.
  • Conducting network forensics to identify malicious activities.
  • Providing situational awareness reporting to DISA cybersecurity subscribers.
  • Creating signatures and custom alerting logic based on adversary actions and vulnerabilities.
  • Implementing active measures to prevent or mitigate harmful activities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience managing operations for large teams (35+ personnel).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of relevant work (additional experience may substitute for education).
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP) with the ability to obtain CSSP-A certification within 180 days of hire.
• Strong grasp of Cyber Network Defense (CND) principles within a Computer Incident Response organization.
• Self-motivated leader with exceptional communication skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience managing a team of leaders.
• Familiarity with DISA and DoD networks.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, and defense strategies.
• Expertise in enterprise SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, QRadar).
• Experience in malware analysis techniques.
• Ability to present briefings to Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer/Flag Officer leadership.
• Advanced certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, GLSC, or CASP.
• Experience in intelligence-driven defense strategies.

Pay Range: Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
