HelioScope, our flagship commercial solar design platform, is designed to expedite the development of large-scale photovoltaic projects. It enables teams to transition from initial concept to actual construction swiftly and confidently, whether working on commercial rooftops or utility-scale systems. As one of our fastest-growing products, HelioScope is essential in equipping engineers to design effectively, scale operations efficiently, and drive the future of solar innovation.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the HelioScope team, you'll engage in full-stack development to create user-friendly, high-performance tools that support some of the world’s largest solar projects. Join our distributed, dynamic team that values rapid iteration and consistently delivers high-quality output. Your contributions will span backend APIs to frontend interfaces and DevOps as you help redefine the landscape of commercial solar design software.

Your Impact

  • Design and implement solutions for current software and new features as an integral member of a fully remote team.
  • Mentor colleagues through insightful code reviews and collaborative programming sessions.
  • Challenge conventional thinking and advocate for innovative, scalable solutions.
  • Oversee user stories and epics, guiding them from conception to successful delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with product, design, QA, and customer-facing teams on critical initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Over 6 years of hands-on experience, resulting in high-quality, maintainable software products.
  • Expertise in at least one primary programming language, preferably Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
  • Strong understanding of both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
  • Experience in designing APIs, optimizing relational data models, and deploying cloud-native applications.
  • Thorough familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and Lean methodologies.
  • A collaborative mindset, eagerness to learn, and commitment to ongoing improvement.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; please submit your resume in English.

Nice to Haves

  • Background in applied mathematics, 2D/3D modeling, or electrical systems.
  • Experience with Redux, Flask, Celery, Redis, Postgres, C++, WebGL, Three.js, or CUDA.
  • A passion for developer tools and workflow automation, including CI/CD, containerization, observability, and enhancing developer experience.
