Position Highlights:

• Practice independently but with a strong collaboration with a local tertiary care hospital, offering comprehensive OBGYN services.
• Utilize a robust in-house diagnostic facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for women in labor, including monitoring labor progress and managing deliveries.
• Perform and assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Offer triage services for obstetric patients with urgent or emergent conditions.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing updates and education regarding their care.
• Deliver patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective in treating health issues while promoting overall health.
• Exhibit professionalism through commitment to ethical principles and sensitivity to diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrate systems-based practice by understanding and utilizing the broader healthcare system to optimize patient care.
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees as needed.
• Assist with recruitment efforts for the department.
• Engage with the community to promote the department, CareMount Medical, and Optum.

Required Qualifications:

• Unrestricted licensure in New York or an application in process.
• Board Certification or eligibility in OB/GYN.
• Active and unrestricted DEA License, or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.

The salary range for New York residents is $278,500 to $484,500 per year, defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual pay may vary based on experience and achievement of metrics. Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage and 401k contributions, is offered (all benefits subject to eligibility).
