Your Duties - What You Will Contribute
- Conduct a variety of standard and sophisticated clinical lab tests across several disciplines-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more, while adhering to established protocols.
- Interpret findings for their accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and perform regular maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
- Support specimen collection efforts and prepare samples for testing as required.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, provide training to new colleagues or students, and assist in upholding the laboratory's quality benchmarks.
- Ensure the lab is a clean, safe, and compliant workspace in line with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a related allied health field, along with preparation for ASCP or AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be achieved within the first year of employment.
- Ongoing maintenance of certification is required throughout your tenure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for efficient collaboration with healthcare providers.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and solve problems in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.
