Landscape Maintenance Assistant Manager

Position Overview
Join our team at Ruppert Landscape, an esteemed commercial landscape maintenance and construction company dedicated to providing exceptional service and environmental stewardship. This role is ideal for someone passionate about landscape management and eager to help grow our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and embody the company's operational philosophies, short- and long-term branch goals, and financial statuses.
- Build strong relationships with team members to foster their growth within the company.
- Engage actively in our training initiatives, leading or attending certification training sessions regularly.
- Oversee daily production activities on assigned contracts, ensuring operations run smoothly.
- Manage job budgets effectively by monitoring hours worked, reports, and overall costs, while communicating expectations to crew members.
- Quality assurance: consistently inspect work at the end of each day and proactively address issues with clients.
- Ensure all assigned vehicles and equipment are maintained in excellent condition.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage various team members effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and experience.
- At least one year of contract maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
- Relevant horticultural education combined with two years of industry experience; additional experience or certifications may compensate for lack of a degree.
- Ability to identify and treat insect and disease issues appropriately.
- Knowledge of maintenance vehicles and equipment, including those used for snow removal.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record over the past three years.
