Warming Center

Our on-call volunteers are a vital part of keeping 5Cities Homeless Coalition responsive to urgent community needs. When severe weather triggers the Warming Center, or when a client needs transportation to an appointment or help moving into housing, we rely on this flexible team of volunteers to step in.
These roles are great for people who may not have a set schedule but still want to help when needs arise. On-call opportunities can include:
- Warming Center Support – Helping welcome guests, distributing supplies, or assisting staff when the center is activated during inclement weather.
- Driver Support – Using your own vehicle to transport clients to appointments, housing placements, or occasional move-in/move-out support (with staff present).
By being on-call, you give us the ability to respond quickly and compassionately when critical needs come up.
