As a crucial member of our engineering leadership team, the Senior AI Solutions Engineer will serve to amplify the contributions of our product engineering teams. In this role, you will lead design and solution architecture efforts, while also engaging in the development of impactful projects. Your expertise in real-world AI solutions will be vital in addressing complex business challenges and guiding both our technology and business teams on every aspect of AI integration.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Integrate AI solutions within real-world workflows, utilizing technologies such as AWS Bedrock, Claude, AWS Comprehend, AWS Rekognition, Salesforce Einstein, and Salesforce AgentForce.
- Collaborate with senior technology and business executives to identify AI opportunities, engage with vendors, conduct proofs of concept, and develop recommendations for implementation, followed by delivery execution.
- Apply your software engineering expertise to strategic projects that mix hands-on development with strong design and architecture principles.
- Align engineering efforts with organizational strategies to ensure support for our teams in executing these objectives.
- Work closely with engineering leadership to implement key strategies around code quality, deployment frequency, observability, and recovery time.
- Coordinate with technology teams and business stakeholders on project priorities, requirements, and change management processes.
- Encourage communication and collaboration across development teams, facilitating knowledge sharing and helping engineers expand their perspectives.
- Identify and address gaps in engineering practices, building capabilities for continuous improvement.
- Participate in our Technology Architecture Guild to ensure alignment of technology choices with business needs.
- Research and recommend new technologies to fulfill business needs, managing vendor relationships as necessary.
- Partner with the security team to establish and enhance the organization-wide security strategy, promoting a security-first culture.
- Collaborate across teams to cultivate an architecture-focused culture that allows for iterative, scalable development.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in software development and architecture.
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles within engineering organizations.
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
- Strong understanding of various architectural styles.
- Experience with AI technologies: RAG, MCP, LLMs, Machine Learning models, etc.
- Prompt engineering expertise to optimize integrations with LLMs.
- Development of reusable toolkits and reference implementations.
- Proficient in modern technologies and languages such as RESTful APIs, asynchronous messaging, observability, infrastructure as code, JavaScript, Node.js, and SQL.
- Experienced in building distributed systems.
- Skilled in creating and supporting mission-critical APIs.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Adept at facilitating dialogue and building consensus, while making informed decisions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities; capable of collaborating effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A mentor and leader with empathy and the patience to nurture developer growth.

Physical and Mental Demands
This position involves extended periods of sitting and using office equipment and computers. Light lifting (up to 20 pounds) may occur, along with reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $118,800.00 - $205,920.00, along with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and relevant employment laws.
