Atlanta, GA, United States NICE Full time

At NiCE, we don't limit our challenges. We challenge our limits. Always. We're ambitious. We're game changers. And we play to win. We set the highest standards and execute beyond them. And if you're like us, we can offer you the ultimate career opportunity that will light a fire within you.

NiCE is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our R&D team building advanced CX Data Analytics software. This role blends automation engineering, systems analysis, and validation expertise to ensure robust, reliable releases. You will oversee the administration and automation of CI/CD integration environments, optimize QA processes, and drive best practices across teams. Ideal candidates bring strong analytical skills, hands-on software development experience, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Job Summary

You will own a complex CI/CD 'live' testing environment that serves as the final quality gate before software is released by R&D. This is not a traditional environment administration role-you must deeply understand our software design, its functionality, and how customers use it. You will collaborate closely with QA leads and engineers to ensure alpha builds are properly deployed and test plans are thoroughly vetted and executed. In addition, you'll be expected to read and write code, develop automation and monitoring solutions, and provide actionable feedback to improve both the product and the environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a complex CI/CD 'live' testing environment that serves as the last layer of quality before release.
  • Ensure proper deployment of alpha builds in collaboration with QA leads and engineers.
  • Vet and execute comprehensive test plans to validate software functionality and reliability.
  • Understand software design and customer use cases to align validation efforts with real-world scenarios.
  • Develop automation scripts and monitoring tools to streamline testing and improve system performance.
  • Read and interpret code to identify issues and contribute to automation solutions.
  • Provide actionable feedback to enhance product quality and optimize development processes.
  • Collaborate across teams (QA, R&D, and others) to resolve technical challenges and improve workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement in validation practices, tools, and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years as an enterprise software developer in any language.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Windows batch, Python, VBScript).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with SQL Server and writing SQL
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior recognition as a top performer in previous roles.
  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience writing automation and using AI in software development.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch.
  • Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and Atlassian tools.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
