We're looking for a Senior Field Property Claims Adjuster to join our dedicated field claims team In this remote role, you'll play a crucial part in providing a consistent, positive, and satisfying claims experience for our clients. You'll achieve this by expertly investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling property claims, utilizing innovative technologies like drones for inspections and virtual claim handling software. This position offers full-time fieldwork within the designated territory in Oregon.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Property Claims Adjuster, you will:
- Investigate and Settle Claims: Determine applicable policy coverage, evaluate, negotiate, and settle assigned property claims efficiently and accurately.
- Client Communication: Initiate contact with insureds, claimants, and all relevant parties to gather essential information, obtain recorded statements when necessary, and clearly explain the overall claims process.
- Property Inspections: Conduct physical and/or virtual inspections of damaged property, evaluate damages thoroughly, and prepare precise written estimates in accordance with policy provisions and liability.
- Utilize Technology: Leverage cutting-edge technologies, including drones for property inspections and virtual claim handling software, to provide seamless and expert guidance to our clients throughout the claims process.
Must-Have:
- Property Adjusting Experience: Demonstrated experience as a property adjuster for an insurance carrier (not as an independent adjuster).
- Territory Residency: Must reside within the territory for this role in Oregon.
- Construction Expertise: Competent knowledge of residential and commercial construction techniques.
- Customer Service Skills: Proven experience providing excellent customer service.
- Experience Level: Typically requires 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
- Licensing: Maintain appropriate adjuster's licensing as required by the states in which we do business.
- Driving & Physical Dexterity: Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with the ability to drive an automobile. Must have the physical dexterity to walk, reach, climb, and crawl to inspect damage, sometimes in unfavorable working conditions or inclement weather. The ability to lift, carry, and climb ladders weighing up to 50 pounds for roof inspections may be required.
- Drone License: Possessing a drone license is a plus.
- Multilingual: Proficiency in multiple languages is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (or their equivalents), Xactimate, and/or other claims estimating software.
This role operates in a work-from-home and virtual office environment with a mobile office/company vehicle provided for work and transportation to appointments. Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate, and you may be called upon for catastrophic duty.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $75,000 - $95,000+ per year (depending on experience)
